Every dog is different, but the foundation for success is always the same: structure, clarity, and communication.
I follow a balanced training approach rooted in the Shield K9 philosophy taught by Hoz Othman, combining positive reinforcement with accountability. My focus is on teaching dogs how to make good choices, not just follow commands.
Training begins with clear communication through leash work, body language, and reward timing to help dogs understand what’s expected. As they progress, I introduce tools such as the prong collar or e-collar to refine communication and build reliability under distraction. These tools are never used out of frustration but as part of a fair, structured system that promotes confidence and stability.
My approach is positive the vast majority of the time but always structured. Dogs thrive when leadership and boundaries are consistent and when communication is clear. The result is a dog that’s not just obedient but truly stable, capable of handling the real world with confidence and control.
